On the request of Mr.George Kulangara, Chairman, WMC Kerala Province with regard to the shortage of essential medicine, Mr.V.C.Praveen & Mr.R.K.Sreedharan General Secretary & Joint Secretary of WMC Chennai Province, immediately purchased and supplied medicine worth Rs.40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand Only). The medicine was handed-over to Marangattupilly Panchayat President in the presence of Global General Secretary, Mr.A.V.Anoop, which in-turn was distributed to sick patient through the Health Center’s.

Under the supervision of Mr.Ajay Kumar, Chairman- Nava Kerala Project, Mr.P.N.Prakash, WMC India Region Secretary and Mr.Anoj Kumar, Joint Secretary WMC Kerala Province about 200 packets of food items were distributed as an immediate relief operation to the people of the epidemic worst hit areas of Five colonies in Pathanamthitta District through WMC Pathanamthitta Unit.

WMC Marangattupilly Unit Youth Forum and Leo Club members cleaned Marangattupilly Town and did fogging against mosquitos.They distributed Preventive, Curative Medicines and 2000 Kgs of Rice to the needy patients under the banner of WMC Marangattupilly Unit, Lions Club & Panchayath in the Medical camp held. On 18th June the unit members again distributed 1000 Kg Rice in Theekoy Panchayath, near Vagamon.

The wide spread epidemic of Chicken Gunia , Dengue fever and other Viral Infections had almost all the hospitals in our state flooding with patients . On behalf of WMC Women Forum Mrs.Indira Rajan, President of WMC WF distributed 175 mosquito nets , 75 blankets and 250 bed sheets to the needy people ( those affected by the epidemic ) in four hospitals in Ernakulam District with the guidance of the District Health Administration especially the District Collector . As suggested the key areas where the help had to not reached was considered for the distribution - General Hospital(Ernakulam), Taluk Head quarters Hospital(Perumbavoor), Primary Health Centres at Vadavukode and Vengoor. An public awareness campaign about the Preventive Measures was also conducted with the support of WMC’s Ernakulam Unit, Dr.Beena and Dr.Junaid Rehman.
